About Tse Yi Gai High School

Dear Staff, Students, Parents and Community Members,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Tse Yi Gai High School and to join this hard-working school community. I hope this letter finds you enjoying the beginning of the new year. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having a great Spring 2020 semester.

I know that Mrs. Robichaux-Cichock has been a great principal for Tse Yi Gai. There are many initiatives that she has implemented. With these initiatives, you and she have been able to improve the education that our students receive. I want to thank her for creating such a strong dedicated staff.

The 19-20 school year is my second year as a secondary administrator. Last year I was a School Leader Intern for Chief Manuelito Middle School. Before my jump into administration, I was a math teacher/Instructional Coach at Miyamura High School for 7 years. During my years in education, I have worked on the YAG for the district, mentored and coached teachers, led PLC meetings and PDs, and helped students achieve their best.

I have reviewed the assessment data for Tse Yi Gai. I have identified some areas of growth and I am excited to work with the Core Team to create an action plan to improve our scores. I know that with strong collaboration we will be able to improve student learning and increase proficiency rates. I would like to meet with each of you on an individual basis and hear what vision and expectations you have of me and the school. I am interested in learning about each person I will be working with. If there is anything you would like to share with me, please feel free to call, email, or come in to speak with me. My door is always open, I welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this semester. I look forward to celebrating our collective success during the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.
